Who's outrageous?

Posted: September 27, 2012 - 5:22pm

It is incomprehensible to me how Deerwood’s energy guru, refers to Mitt Romney as an “outrageous man,” in Dispatch’s Reader Opinion, “That is the Question,” of Friday, Sept. 21!

Here’s is the truth on our outrageous president’s record: T. Boone Pickens has pled with the Obama administration since this socialist, liberal president, was first elected, three and one half years ago, to order nothing but federally powered natural gas vehicles, when the U.S federal fleet is annually updated. However our so called president, has done nothing to stimulate development of natural gas, and to spur America’s energy independence.

Natural gas has a far lower carbon footprint than oil. We have a glut of natural gas in America. Obama has also blocked Keystone, hampered, or denied federal oil and gas exploration in the Bakken Field, denied many off-shore oil permits, and has hamstrung our economy, with a health care system, that is burdensome for businesses, and for working Americans in general.

I say the ‘outrageous man” is Obama, not Mitt Romney.

Israel’s Netanyahu requested Obama to meet with him recently when he came to America, however, this “outrageous president,” chose to go to Las Vegas, to be on with David Letterman, instead? Israel must now feel alone and isolated!

We need Mitt Romney for America’s return to a robust economy, with jobs for everyone who’s willing to work, period.

Vote for Romney-Ryan this November.

B. Hussein Obama

Is an incompetent, unmitigated disaster who hates
America. In a perfect world no one would vote for this fool but those who believe that free stuff is more important than freedom follow him like blind lemmings.

Relax, Jack. It's Shakespeare

As to Netanyahu, the last thing we need is another trillion dollar war, not to mention the human cost, with him holding our coat.

Scream

I just wrote a post in another section about the Obama voters.
The SEIU is paying $11 an hour to protest Romney and some kind of organizing. The people say they have a job- and protesting for $11/hr. is it.
Free Obama money and Free Obama phones and they
have no idea where the money comes from just that it is
Obama's money.
No one is on their side trying to get them out of the
bad neighborhoods and education system . The Democrats
have them convinced that they are the ones that can help them. But when have they and when will they?
Putting them on every program and free stuff really isn't helping anyone.

The Keystone is an

The Keystone is an environmental disaster and it's only purpose is to raise the profits of the oil industry. The money people openly admit that the gasoline refined from the oil shipped across the US will be exported to the highest bidder.

Typical. Leave us with all the risk and pollution and them with the profit. I wouldn't be surprised if congress wouldn't give them tax breaks to do it to us too!

Who's Outrageous? You, Mr. Schilla

You are outrageous when you say outrageous things like "..this socialist, liberal president" and "our so called president". The economic policies of this administration are not socialistic, have you not checked the stock market lately? Where those tax cuts (40% of the Stimulus) socialistic? More hyperbole. And to say "so called" you are one of those denying the validity of this presidency.

"We need Mitt Romney for America’s return to a robust economy, with jobs for everyone who’s willing to work, period."
- LMAO ! Didn't Massachusetts rank 47th in job creation when Mr. Romney was governor?

Vote for Obama-Biden this November.

Fish; that's how we pay for those Walmart imports

Importing low cost heavy oil and adding value by refining it into gasoline for export is good business. It earns export credits and provides many good paying jobs. We are world class in oil refining and need to use that capability to enhance our economic position.

Rolf,

how will the projected rise in midwest gas prices as a result of Keystone enhance our economic position?

Chey

First, the amount of gasoline we export is about 1% of our domestic consumption. If it does raise prices, it will help get you out of your car and into public transport or on your bike.
And nearly all the gasoline used in MN and nearby states is already made from Canadian heavy oil at the Pine Bend refinery. It comes down to MN in the Alberta Clipper pipeline.
It's the price of crude oil that determines retail gas prices, and more supply keeps the crude price down.

Emotion terms like "environmental disaster"

The existing Alberta Clipper(AC) pipeline carries the same oil to MN as would travel in Keystone XL. The AC is not an environmental disaster. It's like the hundreds of thousands of miles of oil and gas pipelines which safely criss cross the US and Canada. The Alberta oil sands region is often described as an environmental disaster by opponents.
Albertans love their lands and waters, and they are capable of guarding those assets without our help. Alberta’s government monitors all aspects of oil sands production. The Province of Alberta has 147,000 square miles of boreal forest. A total area of 1,850 square miles is set aside for oil sands surface mining. As of January, 2012, just 275 square miles have been disturbed. Producers are required to restore disturbed land and make deposits to a fund guaranteeing restoration. That fund now totals $900 million. Sweeping general statements by people who have never been north of Calgary don't really contribute much substance to the issue.

What have you been drinking? Whatever it is share some with your fellows on the left and a double ration for the likes of Fishhead. Honesty coming from the left is certainly welcome. Keep up the good work.
