Stacked Union Board?

Posted: August 12, 2012 - 4:55pm

If two former Education Minnesota Union members and one current substitute teacher are elected to the school board who will represent the workers in the private sector? Can you say conflict of interest?

One can only hope for “right to work” some day.

Now you can’t teach unless Education Minnesota Union accepts you.

The board will be stacked for the union. Crosby’s union is doing the same thing.

Thank you

I totally agree with you. There should be 1-2 on the board
with some school experience, but more than that leaves
everyone else out. Especially the taxpayer who pays the bills
of all the public workers not just the teachers.

But, who will run?

Are these some of the unions

that Joe Radinovich makes $78,000 a year (Starting Pay) to represent?

I'm sure he'll not let that be a conflict of interest if you sheeple vote him into office. gurgle,,,,

Nolan is after

a $120,000 PER YEAR boost to his government pension. Talk about a greedy capitalist.

And chip

Has plenty of pensions to keep him afloat. We need a local US Representative.

That is why

the party should vote for the endorsed candidate...that is if one is truly faithful to the party.

the subject waas school board

so get back on track... and if you don't like teachers running, then put someone up ....find someone ..... talk to a neighbor ..... our candidates, whether they be from the education field or not, are choosing to do so because they want to. Get over the paranoia that its all a plot.

you are right on Zachnos

It's hard to talk people into running for public office, they know it will take a lot of their time and they will come under fire constantly for every decision they make.

I'm not surprised that educators want to run for school board. Why run for something they are not passionate about??

Retired teachers could learn

I'm not sure who is paranoid, but it is hard to put yourself
out there and run for any office. If you have a business to
run and a family it is near impossible.

Look at the way people go after the city council members,
sometimes not pretty. I would like to see some of those
educators instead run for the city council or country comm.
They could learn something new about how things operate and the others could learn from them.

Some of the teachers I know (family members) don't like
to step out of their comfort level and learn something new.

fnb, I'm confused.

Looking at your past posts, I would have thought you were a Republican. Now you're going to cross over and vote for a Democrat? Curious.

He read about that technique in the Wisconsin

recall elections. He is thinking he can help select a weak DFL candidate to run against Chip. Obviously, he thinks Nolan can beat him.

GO NOLAN!

wasted vote

FNB again? More goofy comments? happy I IGNORED him.

Let's talk about Kurt Bills for a moment, the tea party endorsed guy who will run against Amy Klobuchar. He's got GOP challenges in the primary tomorrow.

Gotta love the TP - they endorsed a guy who could not possibly win. Sort of like Romney - wait till more comes out about Ryan - it will scare the heck out of most of the country.

A bold move to get the TP folks to vote for him, but he just 'lost the middle.' Democrats rejoiced at this choice!!!!!!

Snow

The sneaky dispatch. If you go into last fri archive's you can see everyone of the politicans & how they are all going to fix everything that was in the paper Sat morning. Unless they did show up yesterday afternoon & I missed them. You can even comment on them but I dont think they will pop up under recent comments. Boy that could have been good over the weekend.

BTW did ya like the comic's today? & sudoku & horoscopes & crossword?

I really don't see what Chip Cravaack has to do

with this article. His wife got a job, the family moved out of state. Big deal, grow up. Chip I believe has a house near Deerwood. That is still in Minnesota, isn't it?
