Did you know way back when I was 16 my dad took me up to the courthouse, paid either 25 or 50 cents, I can’t remember which, and he said, “Yeah, she can drive.” And I got my driver’s license. Did you know during World War II servicemen had free mailing? All they had to do was write the word “free” up where you put the stamp.
And did you know I don’t like your “new” paper? If I want to see a lot of pictures I can buy a picture book. Did you know I looked forward to Vox Pop? Enjoyed it? If some people got too raunchy, you didn’t have to print it. I can’t read it on a computer I don’t have. I can’t believe I’m the only one around here without a computer. And do you want to know I get madder than a hornet when there is no Dear Abby? Again.
Well, don’t worry. I feel compelled to continue my subscription so every day I can see if my name is in the obits column.
