Singing a new tune
My what a difference an election year makes. Why, even the freeze on Social Security has been suspended. Wonder when Congress will freeze their salaries for two years? Do have a question though, is this being done on borrowed money? If so, we have a problem with our debt now over $15 trillion dollars and climbing every minute. If you think that taxing the rich will solve our problems, think again. It won’t stop with billionaires or millionaires, but start going down to small businesses making $150,000 a year. Now for some that sounds like a lot of money, but most people don’t take into consideration the hidden costs for running a business. Add the upcoming Obamacare and increasing government regulations which are strangling small businesses who will not only be unable to hire anyone, let alone stay in business. Taxing the rich to death could have the same dangerous side effects as some prescription medication with their dire warnings. In other words, the cure could be worse then the disease. Complete government control of our daily lives is not the solution. What has made this country so great Success of individuals, our work ethics and good old Yankee ingenuity. For the last three years, Obama has traveled world wide apologizing for American arrogance. Recently, he chided the American people for being lazy and soft. Suddenly he is singing a new tune about American greatness.Read the speech he gave in Asia. Like too many politicians, he speaks from both corners of his mouth, blaming everyone else for our problems, but trying not to break his elbow patting himself on the back for all the tremendous things has done for this country. This from a president who scorns our Constitution? No thanks.Merry Christmas!
