The “Other Opinion: Voting” published in The Brainerd Dispatch on Tuesday, Feb. 8 was on the mark.
I agree with the West Central Tribune of Willmar that the proposed voter identification plan is an “expensive state mandate” and a “costly bad idea.”
In view of recurring efforts to reduce expenditures, I believe Minnesota legislators should refuse to waste time and money on a “solution looking for a problem.”
They should deal with problems in finance, education, health, infrastructure, and natural resources that urgently need solutions.

It's okay to spend money on problems that don't exist. Just think of it as "campaign cash".
After all winning at any cost is all that matters.
