Open Forum: Author/illustrator coming to Baxter

Posted: February 6, 2011 - 9:14pm

The Baxter School PTO has sponsored author/illustrator visit of Lauren Stringer on Feb. 17 and 18. Some of her books include Winter is the Warmest Season, Fold me a Poem, Mud, Castles Caves and Honeycombs and her newest book, The Princess and her Panther. She will present to grades K-4 and has offered to have a lunch with the author for selected students on both days. The Brainerd Public Library has collaborated with Baxter school to have Ms. Stringer present a night event open to the community on Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m. We are excited to have collaborated on this event for our students and the community. We thank the Baxter PTO and the Minnesota Arts and Heritage fund for their generous support and look forward to future collaboration.
