Over a month ago a person wrote a letter about looking for daycares. I am going to extend on this by giving ideas to ask providers when looking for child care. Ask for references. From my personal experience this is one of the biggest indicators of why parents choose my daycare. What is included in the fees, meals, diapers, etc? What activities are offered? Some daycares may go on field trips or do other activities. Another important question is a schedule. When will your child be eating, napping, playing,etc... The final question I am going to recommend asking is how is discipline handled. Once you pick a day care be involved, ask questions, and show up unannounced. This not only shows your involvement with your child, but also your concern and support to the provider.
