In reading Mr. Abler’s letter in the March 13 edition of the Brained Dispatch I would like to say this: Thank you Dad!
As
your oldest son, I thought I would publish my bias up front so my
perspective is understood. I am most certainly proud of you. I witness
Mr. Abler’s letter as a sour grapes attack, from your opponent in the
recent election for mayor of Crosslake, who lost without the support of
his community. Even though the implications of his statements could be
refuted I choose not to do so as I believe your actions, Dad, will
speak louder than his words.
I have learned, from you, that all
challenges should be addressed straight forward, honestly and based on
facts in order to move forward in a positive direction.
Although
your challenges as mayor are unwanted, I know your determination to
resolve them will prevail as it is consistent with your life long
devotion to improve each and every community for which you have been
involved. People of the community came forward and asked you to serve
the city of Crosslake where for 45 years our family has vacationed and
now call home. You answered their call. Please stay the course. Stay on
the right side of the issues. Crosslake is still the “beauty spot of
Minnesota” and the world to our family. Love you Dad.

Add commentI admire your love
and loyalty to your father, but what have you to say regarding the talented and experienced folks jumping ship from Crosslake government under his tenure?
How do you explain the growing divisive atmosphere in Crosslake?
How is your dad improving the situation?
