Don and Char Dwyer, who are spearheading a petition drive to oust County Attorney Jack Graham, said they have about 4,000 signatures thus far. The Dwyers say they will continue until they have 5,200 signatures. They need about 5,000 to file the petition.

Plans for construction of a swimming pool at the Madden Pine Beach Inn and golf club were announced by Jim Madden, general manager. The pool – 16 feet wide and 38 feet long – will be the first in the Brainerd area. It will feature a diving board.

C. A. Price, general organizer of the Order of Owls, has made arrangements to come to Brainerd to form a charter class in this city. Brainerd is one of the last cities in the state to be organized. Frank Keen will assist Price in formation of the local nest.
