Communist China is weighing in on gun control in the U.S., via its state-run media front Xinhua. China has called for Americans to be disarmed, arguing that the Sandy Hook school massacre demands “no delay for U.S. gun control.” The comments were made in Xinhua, which represents the pinnacle of Chinese state-run media.

The article calls on President Obama to exploit the tragedy to push his gun control agenda, adding that his lame duck situation represents “the best position to promote it,” while blaming the National Rifle Association for curtailing previous attempts to regulate firearms in the United States.

So now our largest debt holder is encouraging the president of the United States to disarm Americans. (Does anyone recall Tiananmen Square?)

The Chinese Communists are not alone in calling for disarming America. CNN’s Piers Morgan, a Briton, has been on a rabid anti-gun rant since July’s Aurora, Colo., shootings that has gotten even more venomous after Friday’s massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. Morgan rudely and disgracefully tore into his guest Larry Pratt, the executive director of Gun Owners of America, calling him “an unbelievably stupid man” who’s “dangerous,” concluding the interview by saying, “You shame your country.”

No civility exhibited by Mr. Morgan.

One senator in Washington is putting video-game companies and Hollywood in the hot seat. Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.VA., called for a study of video game violence on children. Rockefeller said the $78 billion video game industry makes its money by selling violent content to children.

Games that were released last month — “Halo” and “Call of Duty” — raked in $1 billion in two weeks.

Hollywood’s not off the hook either. “Jack Reacher,” starring Tom Cruise and “Django Unchained” with Jamie Foxx starring, have been canceled “out of respect for the Newtown victims, according to Reuters. Don’t get too excited — respect only goes so far, both movies will be released in a week.

As Congress and the administration throw political bombshells at the gun industry, and before they endorse the Chinese Communists’ position, take a look around at the industries that support violence. Oh, I am aware that Hollywood supports the president and the rest of the Democratic Party, but let’s set politics aside for just five minutes and realize that we’re being snookered by the elitists on the left coast and Washington.

It’s time for the people of America to speak out.
