God help America

Posted: November 22, 2012 - 10:32pm

A few weeks ago was the election that, like Hurricane Sandy, left a lot of Christians in the dark.

So, I vacillate! Do I scream about the election that I feel a lot of us felt a fuse was lit that night and am very anxious what and where that fuse is attached to and when it’ll go off. Very anxious.

Election night I almost felt abandoned by God, but Isaiah 55:8 comes to mind and Jeremiah 24:11, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.’”

I think of Paul in 2 Cor. 4:8 and feel a little ashamed. He writes about being “...hard pressed, perplexed, persecuted, struck down.” But “..not crushed, in despair, abandoned, destroyed!” Amen! I have to keep in mind what a writer said in an earlier letter, “We are just passing through, this is not our home!”

What happened Nov. 6 didn’t change think in the Heavenlies, except maybe turned up the volume and intensity of prayers to there!

We just feel a little depressed because some good Christians lost their seats and the fight they brought to Washington will now be missed.

Chip Cravaack comes to mind.

Anyway, this Thanksgiving season, lines are being drawn for our future. It’s almost like Joshua 24:14-15 all over again. Please answer, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

God bless your Thanksgiving season and God help America, especially those out East, as well as our servicemen and women around the world defending us, and their families back home.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.” Matt. 5:9. Amen!

Stephen L. Heinecke

Note to very anxious Heinecke

The Chipster comes to my mind also when I think of the Republicon Congress that seems to want to sacrifice the US economy & 98 % of taxpayers facing the fiscal cliff on New Years Eve.
Better start praying Stephen !

If you can locate him in New Hampshire.
Better start praying again Stephen !

Only God Knows

Only God knows who the good and the bad are. In the eyes of the lord, we are all his children, good, bad or indifferent. A bunch of lip flapping liberals using this site does not determine the good from the bad. If God feels the necessity, your time will come. You CWC libs seem pretty proud to jump on someone elses bandwagon. You seem to forget, the conservatives took CWC. Point being-CWC libs are losers. Have a safe and happy holiday "everyone".

Hey Snowda-It's BLACK Friday

You better be careful. There might be some more of those big black phantom trucks with signs on them running around town today. After all, it is "black Friday". VROOM! VROOM! If I were you, I'd ask santa clause for a Game Cam to put in front of your house so you can see if big black trucks are stalking you. You could only wish. Happy Thanksgiving. Don't eat too much.

Shoot...

Looks like our one day of holiday "feel good" is all gone. Back to being our disrespectful, nasty, confrontational selves. Even me and Scary had a warm fuzzy moment yesterday... Can't we all just get along?

Hey Eyolf, I'm beginning to understand

Who cares if the libs lost CWC? As long as we didn't lose our food stamps. Now I understand. Sorry, I had to lower my mentality for a few minutes. You are not only bumming from good taxpayers but you are also bumming from your own political party. You must be proud to be a CWC DFL'r. I'll bet the rest of the states DFL'rs are proud of you. They win and you keep on losing.
