Pretty bad when a communist country that found freedom sees the problem of our country and we can’t.
Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitung:
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.”

"Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince."
How can you spin that ?
Aww . . . poor Mr. Lang. Feel a cold coming on? Major post-
election depression, perhaps? Here's another good quote: "Take two tax cuts, roll back some regulations, and call me in the morning."
Mr. Lang's letter is making the rounds on many of the right-wing's sites. I'm glad it's apparently therapeutic, and making you all feel a little better. You're certainly allowed your time of grief and your days of hand-wringing and name-calling. Knock yourself out, but try to put it aside for a while, and enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday.
Canned letter
with no substance.
Bubba
I think that I am more right of center than you are and don't
know of these right wing sites. Please list some of them for
me so that I can watch them.
One could argue that the message fits the current circumstances.
Just another....
Just another republicon forwarded email!
Sadie -- just use your Google skills (key words ...)
and all of the sites, sadly, pop right up.
Bubba
Well. Duh. Jeez, I never would have thought of that. You are one smart person.
I would like to know what sites you saw this letter on.
I go on Powerline, Drudge, Daily Caller, National Review,
and Weekly Standard and have not seen it.
You apparently go on many of the right wings sites as you
have seen it.
Sadie: "Duh" back atcha. I obviously meant Google the key
words like: "Prager Zeitung, Obama, foolish voters". You'll see a number of sites. You start with the key words, not with the names of particular sites.
Southie provided the source for Mr. Lang's letter already.
Southie provided the pertinent reference in a comment she made yesterday (in a "conversation" with you, Sadie). It's in the comment section following the hilarious letter Ms. Anderson wrote (Ba-zing!) to Mr. "I-wanna-censor-your-boots" man . Here's the link, again,: http://www.hdnews.net/opinionstory/Hooper051812
The only email we have
The only email we have received recently that is wrong
says that Tom Hanks dad was a singer. not. he was a cook.
The singer really does look like he could have been Tom's dad.
I'm just not as obsessed about the emails that go around,
it would be up to each individual to sort them out.
This supposed quote from the Czech Republic has the same
sentiment as the older man who made his own commercial.
He may have been from the Czech Republic, I don't know
but he paid for the commercial and made it himself prior
to the 2012 election.
So much for.....
So much for yet another republicon forwarded email!
You'd think
that there would be more appreciation for the "heads up" warning from our Eastern Europe ally.
And you'd think there would be more appreciation for the
straight-forward science of economics -- if "austerity programs" create more problems than they fix . . . don't do 'em here, in the U.S.of A.
Worthless E-mail
I'm about as Conservative as can be but when I see an e-mail from another country regarding our politics I treat it as garbage. That is all that it is, They don't have a vote so their opinion is worthless. I shouldn't say worthless, just irrelevant. I can read about the Czech Republic for years and still not be qualified to judge their choices. We lost, I'm ready to roll with the results.
Dark vs Light
When you are in the dark looking into the light your vision is much clearer as compared to being into the light and looking into the dark. With the liberals at center stage and in full light will they be blinded by the light ?
Dark Vs Light
Interesting. Plato would argue your sight is much clearer upon leaving the cave.
hmmmm
Is that an admission that republicons are cave dwellers‽‽‽
Blinded by the light
When moving from the dark into the light, there is a period of blindness and vulnerability, stuck between what was once clear and blinded by what might be. Perhaps Plato might describe this as the journey. :)
