Two employees, who combined have given nearly 70 years of service to Brainerd, announced their retirement to the Brainerd City Council. City Attorney D. A. Larson, 65, will retire at year end. Street and Sewer Supt. Chuck Holst, 58, retires January 31st.

A majority of the persons polled by the Dispatch in the wake of the Nov. 2 election said they did not follow party lines when casting votes. Many said they were turned off by TV ads but found the Dispatch voters guide helpful. Two hundred voters were surveyed.
