No moral high ground

No moral high ground

Moral high ground writer was praising Obama for saving GM. Well and good. I am glad those jobs were saved, but at what expense to us, the taxpayer.

Ford did not require a bailout. It sounds like GM needs better leaders.

Let’s remember, the energy companies that he wasted taxpayers money on. To mention two of them Solyndra and Ener-1. Where are they now?  Bankrupt and these are not the only companies gone belly-up after bail-outs from Obama.

Anyone can quote Scriptures from the Bible, even non-believers.

How soon the American people forget the church he was attending before he ran for office.

Gov. Romney has never wavered from his faith or his church.

Oh yes, let us not forget gas is now $4 a gallon.

Charles Weaver

Mr Weaver , Lets also remember what led to your concerns !

If you ask real nice Scary might show you his gasoline price chart of the last 4 years. You saw $ 4 gas before. Remember now ?

There was an alternative to Economic Stimulus as well , however it was determined there were too many Buggy Whip makers already and a whole bunch of people who studied the GREAT DEPRESSION , thought they were correct ,based on empirical evidence Not Mythology.

I think we need to give Bush

I think we need to give Bush and the GOP credit for lowering gas prices by starting 2 unfunded wars and destroying the American economy by giving unfunded tax breaks for a double whammy.

Yeah republicans!!!!

Obviously Scary is data challenged...

...what is clearly shown on his chart is a brief blip during Bush's second term that lasts for about a month, and which quickly and dramatically recedes to about $1.86 at the time Obama is elected. Once Obama takes the reins, we see a nearly UNRELENTING upward trend during Obama's administration to our current $4.00 a gallon gas (if Israel attacks Iran, expect that to jump to about $6.00 a gallon--that ought to help Obama's re-election bid!).

I seriously don't know what Scary's intention is for posting the chart because the trend for oil prices during Obama's term looks pretty wretched. Apparently he's hoping people don't notice how short a time gas was at $4 a gallon during Bush's term and how long it's been unacceptably high during Obama's term, or that there appears to be a definite upward trend during Obama's term (Also, notice that he only posts the gas prices from the tail end of Bush's term when they were at their highest. A classic trick for those who want to lie with charts.)

It's not about gas prices.

The GOP have a flawed candidate. And he isn't selling himself to anyone except "middle-aged white men" according to an article in a column today by Robert Reich.

Romney is relying on a limited base and alienating the majority of voters. That is not a winning strategy.

"More than 400 bills restricting women's reproductive rights are pending in Republican legislatures. Ryan's Wisc. Legislature overturned a bill keeping employers from discriminating against women in the workplace", according to Reich.

In fact, if the "middle-aged white men" support gay rights and women's rights, he may lose even more of this base.

Robert Reich. Democratic hack who served under Ford, Carter,

and Clinton. Extremely biased and obviously a racist. He wrote a book, "Locked in the Cabinet", which received criticism for embellishing events with invented dialogue. In 2002, he ran for Governor of Massachusetts. And who kick his (deleted word)? Oh that would be Governor Romney. Nothing like listening to a sore loser for your economical and political information. And fish, the economy's downfall was more the result of the housing fiasco and the banks. But if you are worried about the so-called unfunded wars, how come we're still there?

He never ran against Romney,

as he was defeated in the Democratic Primary.

Romney ended his term with a 39% approval rating.

Keep worshipping at the altar of abortion, Southie...

...most women are more worried about putting food on the table than about killing their offspring, which is why Republican voter registration is at an all time high (and Democrat voter registration is in decline).

For a MONTH Scary...

...don't expect the $4 gas to last only a month under Obama.

And keep on dreaming, Southie. Only Republican abortionistas are moving to the left and you can have them--they suit your wrong issue politics to a "T".

Meuhl Once again proving my point

That the "my way or the highway" mantra is a deal breaker for women.

Smart women who think for themselves don't belong in the Republican Party. They want Stepford wives who get in line and keep their ideas to themselves, not real women with real issues.

We welcome them!

Obama 2012

Have a good day!

Dutchman , Koch Refinery near Rosemount MN, Rebranded Also !

After 20 + years of lawsuits by residents South & East of their huge MN refinery , for air pollution . Koch refinery quietly bought all the homes and old family farms from 75 individuals , and paid them off for horrible medical conditions that developed.
Once that was settled they quickly changed their name (Rebrand) to Flint Hills Resources.
Every time you hear the Koch Bros names or causes they support ,its certainly not anything good for the environment. They think EPA kills jobs , better to kill people..

Smart women

may vote Republican because they are independent, think for themselves and don't think they have to follow the political correct route. It is independent to be different.
About the 400 bills restricting women's reproductive rights.
I went on "The Thomas Library", there are a total of 153 bills
in the House and Senate for women's health and a total of 7 for men's health. Please provide the HR or S numbers of your so-called bills. I found the following:appropriations bills, grant bills, menopausal hormone replacement bills, bill giving authority to the PO to raise money for breast cancer, veterans affairs to display women's veterans of rights, mobile mamogram promotion, stillbirth awareness.
I cound't find any of the 400 bills of which you speak, not saying there aren't any but, what are the numbers?

The Republican women for Obama are Democrats at least two of the four are.
Mens Health - 7 bills
Women's health - 156 bills.

Scary, surely you are not complaining about gas prices, when

you blame Pawlenty for not raising them, and then by some major stretch of imagination, blame him for the bridge collapse. Please pick a direction; your spinning around is making me dizzy!

Interesting

Scary is the one that said, not that long ago, that a President has nothing to do with gas prices. Obviously, if it's a Republican president, in Scary's eyes, the go out and change they numbers on the pumps themselves!

Ha! As if the Democratic Party were open and affirming to

...pro-life women. What a joke! And you can have the Republican women abortionists, Southie--all five of them. Real women are more interested in feeding and raising their children than killing them.

I don't know. I'm not at work today. I do remember that article going online last night. I'll check Tuesday.
