IRONTON — Floyd Jay “Buster” Fort, age 71, of Ironton died on Jan. 28, 2013, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
He was born on May 10, 1941, in Crosby to Lloyd and Edna (Stoferahn) Fort. Buster was an avid smear player and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter.
He is survived by one son, Jay (Angela Turner) Fort of Brainerd; granddaughter, Cheyenne; three brothers, Albert (Judy) Fort of Ironton, John (ViAnn) Fort of Woodbury and (twin) Lloyd “Tubb” (Karen) Fort of Brooklyn Park; many nieces, nephews and card buddies.
Preceding him in death are his parents, two sisters, Verna Murry and Darlene Anderson; and one brother, William Fort.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 from 1 to 4 p.m. with a prayer service at 3 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
