PRINCETON — Hazel Linnea Monson, age 94, of Princeton, formerly of Riverton, died at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. She born on April 7, 1918, in Crosby to Vernon and Emmy (Storefelt) Johnson.
Hazel was a longtime resident of Riverton.
Survivors include two sons, Don (Kathy) Monson, of Elk River, Rocky (Maxine) Monson, of Becker; four daughters, Judy Duffy, of Industry, Pa., Terri (Roger) Wig, of South St. Paul, Gail (Wayne) Lyman, of Princeton, and Linnea Monson, of Ironton; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Alfred “Fritz;” three sons, William, Merle and infant Vernon Monson; one brother, Warren Johnson; and one sister, Irene Gardner.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the Koop Funeral Home from 1 to 3 p.m.
