Marlyn Ryappy

Marlyn Ryappy, age 73, of Brainerd, died on Jan. 9, 2013, at his home. He was born on March 13, 1939, in Trommald to Arthur and Florence (Ridlon) Ryappy. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a member of Minnesota Fishing for Fun League.

Marlyn is survived by his significant other, Sharron; one son, Brent Ryappy, of Brainerd; three daughters, Angie (Corey) Hins, of Brainerd, Megan Ryappy, of Brainerd, and Jaqueline (Scott) Kirk, of Mound; one brother, Gary (Donna) Ryappy, of Crosby, and Linnea (William) Thoms, of Ironton; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death are his parents; one brother, LeRoy Ryappy; and stepdaughter, Lisa Mooers.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Monday at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
