LITTLE FALS — Lorraine Revering, 90-year-old resident of Little Falls, Minn., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls, Minn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, Minn., with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may gather from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, Minn., and from 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. A rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers at 7 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.
Lorraine M. Korkowski was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Millerville Township, Douglas County, Minn., to the late August and Frances (Bitzan) Korkowski. She attended Brandon, Minn., high school graduating in 1939. Lorraine was united in marriage to Andy Revering on Oct. 19, 1943, in Millerville, Minn. The couple lived in Detroit Lakes for a short time before moving to Little Falls, Minn. She raised the couple’s five children. Lorraine and Andy attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, Minn., where Lorraine was an active member of the Christian Mothers and the Our Lady of Fatima Mission Circle. Lorraine and Andy enjoyed camping with their many friends with Lucky Lindy Camping Club. Lorraine was an active volunteer in numerous church and community organizations.
Lorraine instilled the love of learning in her children and grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jean (Chuck) Jacobi, of Brainerd, Minn., Bonnie Revering, of St. Anthony, Minn., Judy (Ed) Ross, of San Diego, Calif., Alan (Bette) Revering, of Storrs, Conn., and Paul (Peggy) Revering, of New Hope, Minn.; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Don Korkowski, of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Frances (Bitzan) Korkowski; husband, Andy Revering, on Oct. 14, 2002; and a brother, Clarence Korkowski.
