MONTEVIDEO — Maxine Tanhoff, 73, of Montevideo, died Jan. 4, 2013, at St. Cloud Municipal Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial Jan. 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m. at the Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Maxine Marie (Veit) Tanhoff was born on Aug. 3, 1939, in Brainerd, Minn., to John and Ruby (Cofield) Veit. Her parents owned the Green Lantern Dance Hall where she worked. On July 6, 1959, she was united in marriage to Bruce Tanhoff. They lived in Brainerd before moving back to Montevideo.
Survived by husband, Bruce; children, Todd (Sue) Tanhoff, of Mankato, Minn., Tami (Steve) Tanhoff, of Redwood Falls, Minn., and Tracey Tanhoff, of Montevideo; five grandsons, Bruce E. Tanhoff, Rob Tanhoff, Connor Tanhoff, Adam Fossell and Kane Fossell; one great-grandson, Riley; a brother, John Veit, and his special friend, May, of Brainerd; and aunt, Arline Eckart.
