MOTLEY — Duane Eppelsheimer, age 80, of Motley, died on Dec. 18, 2012, at Lakewood Hospital in Staples.
He was born on Feb. 16, 1932, in Cass County to George and Grace (Fisher) Eppelsheimer. Duane is a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Panama protecting the Canal. He retired from Potlatch after 36 years.
He married Delores J. Waldron on March 31, 1963, and together they were blessed with three children.
Duane enjoyed farming, petting his cows, cutting hay, deer hunting, playing cards with Delores, baking Russian Tea Cakes and going to church on Sunday nights. Duane loved his dogs, Maddie and Scooby. He adored his grandkids and visiting with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dorothy Fornshell.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Delores; children, Terri (Paul) Wickham, of Motley, Scott (Rhonda), of Garrison, Mark (Louann), of Motley; extended family, Lori (Lyle) Johnson, of Nisswa; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Gavin, Claire, Darian, Garret, Abbi, Shontel, Quinton and Olivia.
Funeral service on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Casino Assembly of God, 10387 49th Ave., in rural Pillager, MN 56473.
Visitation on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, from 4-7 p.m. at the church and also one hour prior to service.
Burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager.
