OUTING — Marlan Blaine Modrow, age 69, of Outing, died on Dec. 2, 2012 at his home. He was born on March 2, 1943 in Rugby, N.D., to Marvin and Naomi (Brown) Modrow. He married Linda Mae Miller on Aug. 30, 1964 in Rugby. Marlan was a retired electrical engineer at Rockwell International with 33 years of service. He was an avid amateur radio operator (KORRY), collecting universal contacts.
Survivors include his wife Linda; One daughter, Raeyna (Shane) Longtin of Cottage Grove; his mother, Noami Modrow of Devils Lake, N.D.; One brother, Fred “Ricky” (Jackie) Modrow of Kennewick, Wash.; Two sisters, Marcia (Roger) Larson of Berthoud, Colo., and Lori (Cliff) Hintz of Minot, N.D.; Four grandchildren, Matthew Modrow, Christopher Modrow, Shawna Modrow and Jordan Longtin.
Preceding him in death are his father, one son Michael Modrow and one brother Robert Modrow.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Wesleyan Church in Emily. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with The Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Memorials are preferred in lieu flowers.
