Evelyn Marie Balbach, age 93, died peacefully on Nov. 27, 2012, at Bethany Good Samaitarin. She was born on Sept. 17, 1919, in Heimdal, N.D., the daughter of Emma and Melvin O. Sedahl. She attended University of North Dakota, unable to graduate due to the WWII.
In 1947, Evelyn married Raymond Earl Balbach in Detroit, Mich., and they moved to the suburb of Huntington Woods, Mich. She worked as a professional executive secretary for the Department of Defense, for more than 30 years until she retired in 1979. She enjoyed reading, bridge and sewing.
Life’s a Journey which she fully lived. She has been a widow for 31 years and deeply missed her husband. Her journey has taken her on another road and she will be deeply missed by her family. She was loving and kind remembering all of her family and thinking of her last.
She will be missed by a son, Raymond (Chip) and Vickie Balbach, Greensburg, Pa.; and a daughter, Shellie and Alan Cibuzar, Brainerd; six grandchildren, Ryan Balbach, Sara and Alan Jones, Gregory and Gina Cibuzar, Branelle and Scott Rodriguez, Andrea Cibuzar and Ariana Cibuzar. She has three great-grandsons, Dylan Jones, Chase Jones and Paul Cibuzar.
Services will be in Port Clinton, Ohio, in the spring of 2013.
