Ruth Olephine Turnquist, age 99, of Crosby, died on Nov. 16, 2012, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. She was born on Jan. 19, 1913, in Iowa to Ernest and Ingrid (Mather) Jones. Ruth was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Phyllis) Turnquist, of North Pole, Alaska, and Jerrold Turnquist, of Brainerd; three daughters, Arloine (Carroll) Fuhr, of Stillwater, Maxine (Leslie) Williams, of Longville, Texas, and Judith (James) Malsam, of Woodruff, S.C.; two sisters, Christine Magney, of Brainerd, and Verna Jones, of Bloomington; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Mauritz; four brothers, Melvin, Robert, Donald and Leroy Jones; and one sister, Edna Lundberg.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood.
Burial will be at the Snake River Cemetery near Becker. Friends may call on Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.
