John C. Schwegel

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — John Charles Schwegel, age 37, born Aug. 9, 1975, in Crosby, passed away at his home in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Nov. 7, 2012.

John graduated from Brainerd High School in 1995. He was active in Boy Scouts and had a love of music.

Memorial services will be held at Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood, on Nov. 17, 2012, at 11 a.m.

He is survived by his parents, Delbert and Claudette Schwegel, of Merrifield, and his biological father and stepmother, Larry and Linda Ruikka, of Pine River; four brothers, Curt (Lynn) Schwegel, of Nisswa, Larry (Michelle) Schwegel, of Pillager, Chad (Tanya) Schwegel, of Brainerd, and Jamie (Joey) Ruikka, of Penn Rose, Colo.; three sisters, Peggy (Cambell), Plano, Texas, Tammy (Dave) Peck, of Sauk Rapids, Amanda (Kodi) Keppers, of Ironton; as well as a son, Bryton, of Toledo, Ohio.

He will definitely be missed by all. We find comfort in knowing that his suffering is over and he is at peace with the Lord.
