Carl Bjorklund

Carl Bjorklund, age 89, of Brainerd, died on Nov. 6, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his family. Carl was born on March 10, 1923, in Morrison County to Elias and Allie (Adams) Bjorklund. He married Beatrice Janowiackon Sept. 5, 1945, at The Salvation Army in Brainerd.

Carl owned and operated Bjorklund Well Drilling. He was very active in the Salvation Army. He was a friend to everybody and he would help anyone. Carl also enjoyed deer hunting and he had a great sense of humor. He is survived by loving wife of 67 years, Beatrice; children, Doug (Pat), of Brainerd, Lorraine Roehl, of North Pole, Alaska, Dennis (Gayle), of Salcha, Alaska, L. Sunny (Matthew) Bjorklund Schultz, of Cologne, Lula Andresen, of Brainerd; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph and Harold; sisters, Ethel Eliseusen, Ruth Nelson, Florence Burkhart, Frances Sanford.

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Salvation Army in Brainerd with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment will take place at Dykeman Cemetery.
