Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby for Kari L. Glauvitz, age 52, who passed away Tuesday at her home. Friends and family may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Becker, and one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church in Crosby. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Becker. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Irondale Township.
Kari was born Jan. 6, 1960, in Crosby, to Robert A. & Janet (Bjerkness) Nelson. She married Jerald Glauvitz on May 9, 1986. Kari worked as a bank teller for Wells Fargo Bank and also as a food server at Russell’s on the Lake. She was a member of Saron Lutheran Church in Big Lake. Kari enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, and especially her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry of Big Lake; sons and daughters, Joshua (Telse) of Princeton, Jered (Jennie) of Milaca, Mia of Big Lake and Cassandra (Brandon Olmstead) of Becker; grandchildren, Samantha, Nathan, Andy, Joe, Amber, Malequi, and Brandon Jr.; and brother and sister, Jamie Nelson of Crosby and Dina (Bob) Nelson of Crystal. Kari was preceded in death by her parents.
