Juanita Belle Lind, 94, of Brainerd, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Good Samaritan Village-Woodland. Services for Juanita will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.
Juanita was born May 14, 1918, in Norfolk, Va., the daughter of Henry and Caren (Lier) Harris. After graduating from high school and business College, Juanita worked for 45 years at the Crow Wing County Assessor’s Office. In 1942, she was united in marriage to Lester Lind. She was a member of the Park United Methodist Church. She enjoyed photography and traveling. Juanita was an animal lover, especially cats and dogs. She liked cooking wild game.
She will be missed by her children, Doug (Bonnie), of Maple Plaine, and Debra (Doug) Vollmer, of Palm Dessert, Calif.; sisters, Jean Bliss and Twila Danzig; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters; and one brother.
