ONAMIA — Harold C. Hamilton, of Onamia, Minn., passed away on Sept. 26, 2012, at the age of 73. He was encircled by his loving family at home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Holy Cross Church in Onamia, Minn. Visitation with family and friends will be one hour prior to service at church. A memorial fund has been established with the First National Bank of Milaca, P.O. Box 7, Isle, MN 56342 RE: Harold or Diana Hamilton Memorial Fund. Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia.
Harold was born in Onamia, Minn., on Aug. 4, 1939, to Marvin and Mildred Hamilton. On Sept. 23, 1961, he was united in marriage to Diana Olson. They raised their five children on the original family farm.
Harold wore many hats in his lifetime. He was a farmer, painter and woodsman but of all his jobs Harold would tell you his favorites were being a loving husband, caring father and over the top grandpa.
Big H also enjoyed golf, bowling, cards, pickle ball and dancing. He has always been the number one fan of Lakers baseball, high school football, wrestling, volleyball and track.
Harold is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diana; children, Diane (Rusty) Schmaltz, of Onamia, Rita Stott, of Rogers, Ramona (Jason) Forbord, of Baxter, Harold M. Hamilton, of Onamia, Clifford (Kris) Hamilton, of Onamia; 12 grandchildren, Dustin, Lacey, Travis, Ryan, Sheelagh, Dianne, Hunter, Summer, Sydney, MacKenzie, Madison and Kira; one great-grandchild, Hailie.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Marvin and Mildred Hamilton; and brother, Robert Hamilton.
