Verna Schneider

Verna Mae Schneider, age 88, of Brainerd, died at Woodland Good Samaritan on Sept. 14, 2012.

Verna was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Minneapolis to John and Elsie (Hoffman) Rasmussen. She married Hugh “Wallie” Schneider. They had five children.

Verna is survived by her children, Susan (Thomas) Svitak, of Birchwood, Wis., Nancy Zinn, of New Hope, Kari (Randy) Lindemoen, of Newfolden, and Jim Schneider, of Zimmerman; six grandchildren, Robert Schneider, Russell Svitak, Matthew Schneider, Ryan Svitak, Brittney Schneider and Jennifer Lindemoen; daughter-in-law, Barb Schneider, of Blaine.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallie; and son, David.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis.
