Ruby Koering

Ruby E. Koering, 88, of Brainerd, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Care Free Living in Brainerd. She was born Aug. 18, 1924, in Minneapolis to Arthur and Mabel (Bloom) Snell. She married Francis S. Koering June 29, 1944, at St. Mathias Catholic Church. She was currently a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and past member of St. Mary Margaret Guild, BN Vets Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children, Francis “Butch” (Jeanne) Koering, of Minneapolis, Terry (Pat) Koering, of Coon Rapids, Kevin (Connie) Koering, of Brainerd, Pam (Fred) Mertens, of Breezy Point, Connie (Jim) Boileau, of Brainerd, Shelley (Bruce) Eide, of Brainerd; brother, Arthur Snell, of Appleton, Wis.; two sisters, June Erickson, of Brainerd, and Sharon Kitsmiller, of Fargo, N.D.; 13 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was prededed in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; two sisters; and one grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Daniel Weiske officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation 5-7 p.m. Tuesday with parish prayers at 7 p.m. at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and the hour before services Wednesday at the church.
