Jeanette Hoheisel

HILLMAN — Jeanette “Jet” Hoheisel, age 67, of Hillman, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Buckman with Fr. Kenneth Popp officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 – 10 a.m. Wednesday all at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz.

There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Jeanette “Jet” was born on December 6, 1944 in Long Beach, Calif., to Don & Thelma (Lebel) DeBerry. She grew up in California and graduated from Oxnard High School in Oxnard, Calif. She was employed at 3M in Camarillo, Calif., before marrying James Hoheisel on September 26, 1964. The couple made their home in Oxnard where they lived for eight years. The couple moved to Minnesota and settled on the farm in Hillman Township where they farmed and raised their family. Jet enjoyed playing cards and shaking dice at Bottom’s Up in Buckman. She also enjoyed reading, spending time with friends and family and volunteered at the Pierz Villa. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Buckman. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Hoheisel of Hillman; children,

Michele (Scott) Theede of Hillman, Tracy (Shawn Smart) Schmidt of Crosslake, Casey Kalis of Rice, Christine Lesch of Pierz, and Matthew (Katie) Hoheisel of Hillman; siblings, Donald (Laura) DeBerry of Fallon, Nev., Monte (Lyn) DeBerry of Kaysville, Utah; grandchildren, Dusty (Julie) Hoheisel, Jesse Thommes, Lauren Schmidt, Kendra Lesch, Carter Geise, Westin Hoheisel and Ellie Hoheisel; great-grandchildren, Asher Hoheisel and Hallie Hoheisel.

Jet was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sandra Woolworth; great-granddaughter, Maya Hoheisel; niece, Denise DeBerry.
