Lorene K. Nordmark

Lorene K. Nordmark, age 86, resident of Brainerd, died in St. Paul, Sunday, July 15, 2012. Lorene was born and raised in Mound City, S.D. She was born on Aug. 22, 1925, to Karl and Christine (Weber) Wolfer.
Lorene moved to Brainerd to manage a men’s clothing store, from there she worked at a coat factory for many years and also the community college. Lorene was known for her cooking, baking and gardening. She was extraordinarily generous in giving her baked goods and home grown vegetables. George and Lorene also loved flowers, the lake and everything in nature.
Preceding her in death were three brothers; 10 sisters; parents; and husband. Many nieces and nephews are left.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with Pastor Bob Evans officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
Visitation will be held the hour prior to services.
Memorials preferred to the Salvation Army.
