Timothy Lee Johnson, former resident of Brainerd, Minn., died peacefully surrounded by his family on June 16, 2012. Tim was born June 8, 1961, in Blue Earth, Minn., to Earl and Elaine Johnson of Brainerd, Minn.
Tim graduated from Brainerd High School in 1979. He was a talented Golden Gloves boxer, a lover of classic cars and an enthusiastic hunter.
He joined the Air Force in 1982 and was stationed in Great Falls, Mont., where he met Debbie, his wife of 26 years. He served his country faithfully for four years, including one year overseas in Korea.
After serving in the military, Tim worked for the United States Postal Service for 23 years in Great Falls, an area he loved and never wanted to leave.
Tim is survived by his wife, Debbie; and daughters, Aspen and Amber, of Great Falls, Mont.; parents, Earl and Elaine Johnson, of Brainerd, Minn.; sister, Shawn Brummer (Jeff), of Bismarck, N.D.; brother, Ted (Nicci) Johnson, of Brainerd, Minn.; his grandmother, Dorotha Andersen, of Brainerd, Minn.; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tim is in the care of the O’Connor funeral home in Great Falls, Mont. A military funeral is planned at the Veteran’s Memorial in Great Falls, Mont., on Saturday, June 23 at 2 p.m.
