IRONTON — Margaret Florence (Brown) Rusco, 88, of Ironton, Minn., passed away at her home on June 6, 2012. She was born Nov. 8, 1923, in Hibbing, Minn., to George and Netti Brown. She attended Hibbing schools.
She was married on Jan. 15, 1944, in Cass Lake, Minn., to Harvey H. Rusco.
Margaret was a housewife and stay at home mom. She was a 40-year member of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Crosby, Minn. She loved caring for her flowers, gardening, canning, sewing, knitting, crocheting and playing cards. She was always watching and feeding her birds. She had several chipmunks that came to her porch everyday to be fed and she would sit and watch them. She will be sadly missed.
Margaret was proceeded in death by her parents; a son, David; sisters, Lillian (John) Reisinger and Marie (Jay) Golly; and a brother, George (Lois) Benzel; and two grandsons, James and Ronald.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey; and eight children, Caroline (Glen) Evenson, of Summit, S.D., Harvey (Julie) Rusco, of Hibbing, Minn., Shirley Luoma, of Cass Lake, Minn., Maureen (Rodney) Marks, of Buhl, Minn., Dennis (Sue) Rusco, of Eveleth, Minn., Diane (Warren) Buchite, of Ironton, Minn., Judy (Steve) Palkovich, of Buhl, Minn., and Trudy (Steve) LaSart, of Greely, Colo.; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
