DULUTH — Alice Martha Peterson, 80, formerly of Isle, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth on Saturday, May 26, 2012.
Alice was born on April 24, 1932, in Redtop, Minn., to William and Martha (Schulke) Moss.
Alice married Glenn Myron Peterson, on May 26, 1951. Glenn and Alice owned Peterson Bros. Blacktop in Isle and Peterson’s Marina on Mille Lacs Lake. Alice enjoyed working in her gardens and growing a variety of flowers.
Alice is survived by her son, Terry (Stacy) Peterson, of Breezy Point, Minn.; two daughters, Cindy (Ron) Lane, of Virginia, Minn., and Beth (Todd) Boetcher, of Basset, Neb.; three brothers, Lester (Kathryn), Marvin (Lil), Emil (Sue); three sisters, Clara (Wendell) Christensen, Joann (William) Bain, Judy (Gerald) Olson. She is also survived by grandson, Justin Peterson; two granddaughters, Amanda Rich and Michelle Rich, also great-granddaughter, Rilee Rich.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; parents; brother, Wilbert; sisters, Carol Moss, Margie Moss and Marlys Spanier. Also preceded in death by grandson, Staff Sargent Lathan C. Peterson.
Private services and internment will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.
