AITKIN — Brian Scott Fischer, age 22, of Aitkin, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Essentia Health St Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd.
Brian was born Jan. 20, 1990, at Crosby, Minn., the son of Paul and LaRae (Weimer) Fischer. He grew up and attended schools in Aitkin graduating in 2008 from the Aitkin High School. He then went to work for his father as a recycling technician at Garrison Disposal Company. Brian loved animals and had worked for two summers at the H.A.R.T. shelter. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, wolves and going to movies. He loved his new truck and he especially loved his family. He was a very loving and giving person. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, the National Wild Turkey Association and the Whitetail Deer Association.
He is survived by his parents, Paul Fischer and LaRae Fischer, both of Aitkin; sister, Ashley Fischer, of Duluth, Minn.; grandmother, Dorothy Fischer, of Crosby; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 4, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father David Forsman officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin and also one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at the St. Thomas Cemetery in Aitkin.
