Darrell F. Yngsdahl

MORA — Darrell Francis Yngsdahl, age 71, died March 14, 2012, in his home near Mora, Minn., with his wife of 28 years by his side. He was born May 11, 1940, in Madison, Wis., to Donald and Violet Yngsdahl. He taught elementary music in Onamia for 21 years and was known around Mille Lacs Lake as the singing “Captain Hook” out of Pirate’s Cove Resort. Darrell was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a treasured friend to many. He will be dearly missed. Survived by his wife, Faith; daughters, Jennie (Michele), Ann, Kay (Tom); granddaughters Kyla and Addison; stepson, Shawn and his son, Ryan; half-brother, James; and other extended family members. Memorial service 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora. Visitation one hour prior.
