Kari L. Dayton, age 52, of Nisswa, passed away suddenly on Feb. 25, 2012. Kari loved her family deeply and cherished her many friends. Kari spent most of her life in Nisswa and lived well “up north” enjoying many outdoor activities and frequently referencing God’s amazing beauty in the sunsets, lake view and wildlife. She immersed herself in the community through her devotion to non-profit and civic organizations. Her infectious smile, energy and zest for life will be missed by all who knew her.
Kari is preceded in death by her dad, Lee Dayton.
She is survived by her mother, JoAnne Dayton; brothers Kurt (Christine) and Ken (Karin); her nieces and nephews, Jamie, Jenna, Jayce, Kathryn, Michael and Matthew; her close friend, Stephen Ringstrom; and her Godchildren, Jenna, Michael and Jackie Thom Larson.
Visitation will be held at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home on March 1, from 5-7 p.m.; with the funeral to be held at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa, Minn., on March 2. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., with visitation to begin one hour prior.
Memorials are preferred to Ski Gull’s Terrain Park or the Lutheran Church of the Cross Community Garden Center.
