CROSBY — Warren Clarence “Charlie” Franz, age 89, of Crosby, died on Jan. 28, 2012, at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on March 2, 1922, in Dean Lake Township to Conrad and Mary (Johnson) Franz. Warren was a former employee of M.A. Hanna Mining, Land O’Lakes Turkey Plant and the Deerwood Rice Plant. He was a lifelong farmer on the family farm in Dean Lake Township.
Survivors include sister-in-law, Loretta Franz, of Crosby; and nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; one brother, John Franz; and two sisters, Ann and Veronica Janzen.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in Aitkin. Friends may call on Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
