Margaret Fitch, age 92, of Brainerd, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, in Brainerd, Minn. Margaret was born on Oct. 4, 1919, in Brainerd to Arthur and Clara (Lathrop) Billman.
Margaret married Paul Fitch in Brainerd, Minn. Together they had 12 children. She worked for 20 years in the dietary department at Bethany.
Margaret’s greatest love was her family! She had the best sense of humor, and could always make you smile. She always made time to listen and talk. She was the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend anyone could have. Margaret made you feel like you were her favorite and one and only.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her children, Patricia Psick, of Willow River, David (Karen), of Blaine, Timothy (Cindy), of Pillager, Steve (Ginny), of Brainerd, Scott, of Brainerd, Cindy (Curtis) Wiltz, of White Bear Lake, Michael, of Brainerd, Jane (Bill) Clarken, of Brainerd; stepson, Vincent (MaryLou), of Arizona; son-in-law, Ronald Heroff, of White Bear Lake; daughter-in-law, Nannette Fitch, of Fort Ripley; brothers, Lynn (Helen), Earl (Lorraine), Raymond, Clarence (Pat), Robert (Irene), all of Brainerd, Donald (LuAnn), of Minneapolis; 35 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; sons, Paul Jr. and Todd; daughter, Nancy; stepdaughter, Bonnie; grandson, Spencer; sister, Irene Ebinger; brother, Harry.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Brainerd, with a visitation one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Brainerd.
