PEQUOT LAKES — Sarah Ann Carol Olson, 80, of Pequot Lakes, died on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at St. Cloud Hospital. Services for Sarah Ann will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes, MN at 11:00 AM. A secondary service will be held in California at Red Hill Lutheran next week. Interment will be held at a later date.
Sarah Ann was born on September 23, 1931 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Clarence and Nora (Boseth) Nelson. She was married to Wayne Olson in Pequot Lakes, MN on June 7, 1952. They moved to California in 1960 and then returned to MN in 1994. Sarah Ann was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and the Women’s Club in Pequot Lakes. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, and being a Cub Scout den mother when her sons were younger. Sarah Ann loved being an active part of her churches.
Sarah Ann will be sadly missed by her husband, Wayne; children, Kevin (Joyce) Olson of Pequot Lakes, MN, Clare (Sue) Olson of Laguna Hills, CA, Teri (Lance) Whitney of Dana Point, CA, and Melissa (John) Stigall of Canyon Lake, CA; her ten grandchildren; and her two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, father, Clarence Nelson, mother, Nora Nelson Larson, step-father, Lawrence Larson; sister and brother-in-law, Darleen and Lloyd McAninch. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes.
