Virginia L. Guderjohn

Virginia L. Guderjohn, age 73, resident of Brainerd, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at her home with her loved ones beside her. Virginia was born on Oct. 16, 1938, to Alice and Tony Langaas. She graduated from Forest River High School in North Dakota in 1956. She pursued her education becoming an X-ray technician. She married Ray Guderjohn at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks, N.D., on July 17, 1959.
Survivors include her husband, Ray, of Brainerd; children, Cheri (Dave) Hudson, of Brainerd, Kelly (Jon) Lind, of Pillager, Dale (Angie) Guderjohn, of Brainerd; her two special granddaughters, Sara (Jesse) Chisholm and Lura (Lee) Alanis, both of Brainerd, who she raised as her own; nine other grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her cat, “Freebie” and dog, “Serena.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Tony Langaas; son, Robert Guderjohn; great-granddaughter, Victoria Pavacky.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with Pastor Bob Twiton officiating. Visitation will be held the hour before services.
