AITKIN — Ann Jones, age 93 of Aitkin, died on Nov. 10, 2011, at the Aicota Nursing Home in Aitkin.
She was born on March 15, 1918 in Ulen, Minn., to Henry and Lena (Wiger) Hasskamp. Ann married Noel Logan Jones in Webster, S.D. on Dec. 24, 1940.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Cedarbrook and WELCA of St. John’s. She was also a member of the Half Century Club of the Minnesota Newspaper Association.
Survivors include two sons, Dale (Linda) Jones of Coon Rapids, and David (Meg) Jones of Alexandria; two daughters, Arlene Morgan of Braham and Linda (Roxy) Bracewell of Apple Valley; daughter-in-law, Judie Jones of Aitkin; one brother, Lyndon Hasskamp of Aitkin; one sister, Jo (Jack) Anderson of Crosby; sister-in-law, Gerry Hasskamp of Klamath Falls, Ore.; thirteen grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Noel in 1983; one son, Noel “Buzz” in 1996; four brothers, Herb, George “Dutch,” Gordon and H. James Hasskamp; two sisters, Dorothy Lange and Mabel Offt; and son-in-law, Richard Morgan.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13th at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Cedarbrook. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday one hour prior to the services at the church.
