Warren M. Welton

Warren M. Welton, age 90, resident of Brainerd, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, in Duluth. Warren was born on Nov. 11, 1920, in Aitkin to Oliver and Mary Welton. He was a member of the Brainerd Elks the American Legion. Warren owned the Brainerd Credit Bureau and was co-owner of Anthonie’s in Nisswa.
Warren is survived by his wife, Gladys, of Brainerd; sons, Gary, of Minneapolis, Bob, of Duluth; and daughter, Diane (Greg) Roberts, of Brainerd; grandchildren, Gabriel (Emily) Keller, Lacey (Joel) Speral, Devin Roberts, Duncan, Keely, and Kylen Welton; great-grandchildren, Zachary Keller, Arie Speral, and Graham Roberts.
A service celebrating Warren’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at First Lutheran Church, Brainerd. Visitation will begin an hour before the service with a lunch served after. Burial at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.
Memorials may be given to the Brainerd Elks Lodge, Warren Welton Elks Youth Camp Fund.
