CLEAR LAKE — A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at South Santiago Lutheran Church in Santiago for Debra K. (Tabor) Eilers, 56, of Clear Lake.
Debra passed unexpectedly on Oct. 1, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Inurnment will be at a later date at Oakland Cemetery in Brainerd.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church in Santiago. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Debra was born on March 1, 1955, in Destin, Fla., to Thomas and Sharon (Eide) Tabor. She graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1973. She was married on Aug. 24, 1974, later divorced, and single-handedly raised four wonderful daughters. She attended St. Cloud Technical College for building construction and drafting, and was honored with many awards. She was employed at Trimpac as a project manager, and later with Creative Memories as an event planner. Debra’s first priority was her family and friends. She especially enjoyed time at the cabin, traveling, and helping everyone.
Debra is survived by her daughters Amy (Mark) Pigott of Madison Wis., Alissa (Charlie) Wild of Watertown Minn., Amanda (Bernard Schmiesing) Eilers of Madison Wis., Anna Eilers of Clear Lake Minn.; grandchildren Aiden and Colin Wild, Katelyn Pigott; mother Sharon Tabor of Merrifield; brother Steve Tabor; sisters Sue Tabor, Karen Hartneck, Lyn Peterson; nieces, nephew, and many great friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Tom and her good friend of many years Patty Scheiller.
Debra was a hard worker, excelling at everything she did. Her enthusiasm and generosity will be missed by many, but carried on by her daughters.
