Ryan Ray Hardy, age 30, found peace with our Lord Sept. 26, 2011, at his home in Brainerd. He was born in Brainerd on July 17, 1981, to Wayne Hardy, Nisswa, and Shirley Hardy, Deerwood.
Ryan was a 2000 graduate of Brainerd High School and had an AA degree from Central Lakes College in Business Management. He was a groundskeeper at “The Pines” Golf Course. He enjoyed all sports, especially softball. He played as a valuable team member for teams with friends and family.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Wayne (Brenda) Hardy and Shirley (Randy) Hardy; a brother, sister-in-law and niece, Adam, Krystal and Lily Hardy respectfully, of Brainerd; a sister, Marla Bea Hardy, of Deerwood; his ex-wife and two sons, Gina, Delon and Ethan Hardy, of Detroit Lakes; a daughter, Erica Rose, of Cooperstown, N.D.; his grandparents, Floyd and Marliss Hardy, of Nokay Lake; many very special aunts, uncles and cousins from both sides of his family; a friend, Whitney and Lily.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Hardy; grandparents, “Duffy” and Beatrice Salvog; and a niece, Joselyn Hardy.
Services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Keith Bertram officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue the hour before services at the church on Monday.
