Evelyn Lucille Johnson

Evelyn Lucille Johnson, age 81, resident of Edgewood Vista in Brainerd, died there Wednesday morning, Aug. 17, 2011. Evelyn was born May 21, 1930, in Brainerd to Floyd and Bertha (Crocker) Cole. She has lived in the Brainerd area most of her life. Evelyn was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She was active in AA and Bible studies. She was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. Evelyn enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading.
Survivors include her children, Donnie (Linda) Johnson, Diane (Alvin) Jacobson, Kathy (Tony) Gage, Dean (Jill) Johnson, Wayne (Karly) Johnson, Kristi (Rick) Lundsten; sister, Dedo Maine; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her father, Floyd Cole; and mother, Bertha Cole; infant sister, Grace; great-grandchild, Dakota; brother-in-law, Boyd Maine; and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Johnson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at the Church of the Nazarene, 16549 Johnson Road, Brainerd, with visitation the hour before services at the church. Visitation will also be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21 at Edgewood Vista.
