Gloria J. Pikula

Gloria Jean Pikula, age 63, resident of Maple Grove Township, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at her home. Gloria was born April 1, 1948, in Brainerd to Harry and Bonnie (Gorran) Dircks.

Gloria worked at St. Joseph’s Medical Center for 42 years; she enjoyed taking care of people. She loved gardening, horses and being a mother and grandmother. She married Dwight Pikula in 1972 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Dwight; daughter, Amy Pikula; son, Aaron Pikula; three grandchildren, Natascha Pikula, Brooke Pikula and Lucas Headlee; and her brother, Rick Dircks.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Glenda Hayes; and brother, Brian Dircks.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Steve Laflamme officiating. Visitation will be held the hour before services at the church.
