Warren Lee Mason was born on July 21, 1959, in Mankato, Minn., to Norman and Hazel (Page) Mason. He enlisted into the United States Navy in 1977 and worked as an Aviation Mechanic and was honorably discharged in 1980. Warren received his GED while in St. Cloud. He also went to Brainerd Vocational Collage for welding. He later returned back to Mankato where he worked some welding jobs with his dad.
Warren enjoyed fishing and wood refinishing. He loved riding horses and motorcycles. Warren was proud of his service to his country and was very patriotic. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his cousin, Steve and his daughter and grandchildren.
Warren died on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 52. He is survived by his daughter, Carissa (Andrew) Thole, of Alexandria; grandchildren, Kyla and Kegan; brother, Calvin; and sister, Carolyn; daughter’s mother, Jeannine Disselkamp, of Morris; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Warren is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Hazel; sister, Connie; and brother, Craig.
A committal service will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, Minn., on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at 2 p.m.
Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
