Pauline M. Sonnenberg, age 96, resident of Brainerd, a former resident of St. Cloud, died August 2, 2011, at her home at Edgewood Vista in Brainerd. Pauline was born May 13, 1915, in Morrison County, Minn., to John and Regina (Schubert) Hoffman. She married Walter Sonnenberg. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and church guild. Pauline enjoyed needlecraft and sewing, making many baptismal gowns over the years. She also enjoyed making rosaries. Survivors include her daughters, Donna (Gerald) Harjes of St. Cloud and Carole Sleezer of Aurelia, Iowa; grandchildren, Mark (Candy) Harjes, and great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jordan, Michael (Jennie) Harjes and great-grandson, Travis, Patrick (Polly) Sleezer and great-grandchildren Zachary, Kolby and Jaden Grace, Shawn Sleezer, Tony (Kim) Sleezer and great-grandchildren, Cael, Addison and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter; son John; infant daughter Mary Jane; brothers Joseph, Michael, Peter, Alex and Ted Hoffman; sisters Josephine Janorschiki, Alma Hoffman, Alvina Poser, Florence Weiss and Johanna Roberts. Services for Pauline will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 11 at Edgewood Vista Chapel, 14890 Beaver Dam Road in Brainerd with Father Dennis Hoffman officiating.
